There
will be an orientation meeting for the Transition to College program on Thursday,
May 21st at 1:00pm at Normandale Community College. If you are
interested in riding a bus to the meeting, please sign up with Ms. Espy in the
main office. If you have any questions see Mr. Hall.
All materials are due
in the Media Center on Friday May 22nd. Students with late materials will
be fined and put on obligations. Seniors on obligations will not receive their
diploma.

please don’t forget tomorrow is our last homeroom and we are having our potluck.

Athletics:
Show your team spirit by joining us for a fundraiser
to support Jefferson High School’s Track Team. Just come into Bloomington Chipotle
on Tuesday, May 19th, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm tell the cashier you’re
supporting the JHS track team to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be
donated to the team.
If anyone is interested in being a manager or video person for the football
team next fall, please see Mr. Carlson in C27 this week.
Congratulations to the
Girl’s golf team members Hannah Campbell and Dana Haupt for being selected as
all conference performers. Alyssa Richards was an honorable mentions all
conference selection.
There will be a brief
but very important Boys Basketball meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) before school
in room C109 at 7:35.
Boys lacrosse battles Kennedy today out on the turf at 6pm, come
out and support your team as they battle for the Btown title. Also as a
special half time ceremony the team will be recognizing the 15 year anniversary
of the 2000 State Championship team, come support the Jags to victory, see you
there.
Also, our very own Joey Eggleston is up for the aspire
athlete of the week, please go online to the aspire beverages website and vote
for him, he represents our school and our Jefferson family.
All Boys Track athletes report to the Gold Lab at 2:50 today for
voting and end-of-year survey.
Congratulations to Madison Richardson who won the discus and Elise
Longley and Zak Ketterson who finished 2nd and 4th in the 3200 in the Metro
West Conference track meet last night. Congratulations also to these
athletes who made finals in two events: Duane Moore and Tyler Blanchard in 100
and 200 and Molly Roach in the 400 and 800.
Sydni Starling, Isabel Fredericksen and Weldon
Makori will also run finals in the 800. Alyssa Lind and Elena Hayday made
it in the 400, come see the Jags run in the finals at Richfield High
School Wednesday night.
Career center:
Attention Senior girls
who are going to Normandale but NOT planning to enter the Transition to College
program. If you would like a chance at a $500 scholarship the applications
need to be turned in today to the counseling office by 11:00 AM to be considered.
