*Due to pending weather conditions, Bloomington Schools will be closing 2 hours early today. Jefferson students will be finished at 12:03 with an optional lunch served following the class periods. Buses will depart from Jefferson at 12:45 pm.

*If you have purchased your Trimester 2 parking permit but have not picked it up, you are in danger of getting ticketed. Permits are not valid unless they are hanging in your car. Be sure to get your permit from the main office as soon as possible to avoid a parking violation.

*Congratulations to our Jefferson Debate team for their performance at the MN Debate Teacher Association’s JV Novice State Tournament. Elena Plaster, Bree Denniston, and Bella Gutierrez placed as semifinalists in novice Congress debate. Shane Ross and Amal Mohamed made it to the finals. Senior Joseph Shetaye and Junior Darian Whittet both qualified for the MSHSL state debate tournament taking place at the University of Minnesota. Congratulations to all.

 MISC:
*Trimester 2 parking permits will need to be displayed in your car starting on Monday! If you have registered for a parking permit, you need to pick it up in the main office before you leave school today.

*Seniors, tomorrow is the deadline for ordering your cap and gown. Check your school email for information about how to order.

*To celebrate the end of finals you can buy a student ticket for tonight’s performance of  a Seussified Christmas Carol for only $2.00. Discounted student tickets are for tonight only.

*The building will be closing at 1:00 today. If you need to stay for an after school practice, you are expected to wait in Flex Hall or the Media Center. Wandering around the building is not acceptable. If you need to wait for a ride, you will need to wait by Door 1. Today is the last day of Trimester 1 and there is no school tomorrow for students. We will see you back here on Monday for the beginning of Trimester 2. 

*As we said yesterday, take a few deep breaths, work hard, and finish strong. You can do this, Jags! Go and make it a great day. See you on Monday.

*Buses will leave after lunch today at 12:50. If you plan to take the bus home, be sure you’re outside on time!
