*There are still a few parking permits that have been purchased but not claimed. You will need to pick them up in the main office by the end of this week or they may be issued to another student. We are currently sold out of front lot passes.

*This Friday is a TJCoffeehouse morning! Purchase your favorite treats and beverages including this week’s specialty drink, Peppermint Mocha Latte. Due to rising costs, TJ Coffeehouse prices have been slightly increased. Donuts and muffins now cost $1.50 and bagels now cost $2.00. The coffeehouse will also be selling Snickers Bars and M&Ms and donating the proceeds to the food shelf. There will also be a Craft Fair fundraiser during 1st hour to raise money for the STRIVE/THRIVE/SUN program graduation celebration. See you in the cafeteria on Friday morning, and thank you in advance for your support.

Once the test starts, you cannot and will not be admitted. Be sure to bring a photo ID and your admission ticket. 

*There are still a few parking permits that have been purchased but not claimed. You will need to pick them up in the main office by the end of this week or they may be issued to another student.

*If you have purchased a Trimester 2 parking permit online, make sure that you pick it up in the main office as soon as possible. Trimester 1 parking permits are no longer valid and you take the risk of getting ticketed if you don’t have a Trimester 2 permit displayed in your car.

*JTC will be performing an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. They will be performing 6 shows over two weekends beginning on November 30. Come see as Ebenezer Scrooge communicates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving. Check out the posters or the TV monitors for more detailed information on show times.

*If you have purchased a Trimester 2 parking permit online, make sure that you pick it up before you leave today. Trimester 1 parking permits will no longer be valid beginning the 1st day of the new trimester, so be sure to purchase your pass today. You are only guaranteed that your permit request will be processed before the first day of the new trimester if you purchase it before we return to school on December 2nd.

*Do you enjoy writing poems, short stories, or plays?  Are you an artist looking for a place to display your work?  If so, consider submitting your work to The Crooked Quill, the Jefferson Literary Arts Magazine.  The magazine is a great place to highlight all the wonderful, creative artists we have here at Jefferson.  If you're interested in submitting, send your work to jeffersonlitmag@gmail.com or contact Mr. Hupton for more details. The deadline for submissions is January 31st.

CAREER/COLLEGE CENTER:
*A Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) help session is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Students and parents are welcome to attend.

*Bloomington Future Leaders, in partnership with Jefferson and Kennedy High Schools, will be holding a fall conference for juniors and seniors on the topic of Networking and Communication. The conference will be held on November 1st at the Bloomington Hilton Hotel. Sign up with Ms. Wallerick or Mr. Roesler by this Friday, October 25th.

MISC:
*There are still spots available for the trip to Argentina. Please see Ms. Brooke-Beyer if you would like more information about the trip.

TEAMS/CLUBS:
*Bloomington Nordic Ski season is just around the corner, with a kick-off meeting for skiers and parents in the Jefferson Cafeteria on Monday, October 28th at 6:30 PM. Nordic skiing is open to all high school students. No prior experience is needed and a limited amount of equipment is available for rent. Join the fun and get involved in a great lifetime sport!

Friday: Winona State University, Franklin University Switzerland, and Vanderbilt University

*TJCoffeehouse will be open for business this Friday morning beginning at 8:15 AM. Bring your one-dollar bills to use toward the purchase of your favorite treats and beverages. As always, make sure you plan ahead so that you can arrive to your classes on time.

*Attention, Seniors! There is a mandatory senior graduation meeting today, Wednesday, October 23 in the Main Gym during Advisory. Please report directly to the Main Gym; do not go to advisory first! See Ms. Jarvis with any questions!

*The girls basketball meeting begins today at 9:40 AM in the cafeteria. Make sure to check in with your Advisory teacher before attending the meeting.
