ATHLETICS:
Girls Lacrosse tryouts begin this coming Monday,  April 3. Meet at 4:30pm in the cafeteria for check-in, and be sure to bring both cleats and tennis shoes.

Attention 10th grade B-Squad Softball players: Practice will be held indoors today.

Seniors: The Bloomington Athletic Association scholarship application is now available. Check the local scholarship link on the Career Center webpage or pick one up in the Career Center. The application deadline for BAA is Thursday, April 27.

*Attention senior varsity athletes: remember that the Jerry Molosky Born Again Jock scholarship application is due a week from ​this Wednesday​ on April 5th. Complete your application and submit it to the Counseling office no later than the end of school on that day.

ACTIVITIES:
Congratulations to the speech team for placing FIRST out of 22 teams at the Northfield Tournament.  It was a great way to end the regular season! Jefferson had several finalists and honorable mentions. Championship honors went to five of our students: Jeff Alarcon, Michaela Gilbertson, Ian Klein, Alexa Schirber, and Isabel Taylor.

Are you interested in writing poetry or short stories?  Are you an artist or photographer?  If so, you should submit your work to the Jefferson Literary Arts Magazine.  The deadline for 2017 submissions is this Friday, March 24.  See Mr. Hupton in room C-05 for details or if you have questions.

Come and see Jefferson Theater Company’s Student Directed One-Act Plays: Breaking Badly, The Monologue Show, and Game of Tiaras.  Each one-act will be performed on March 23rd and March 24th at 7pm.

All locks that are not used for Phy Ed or Athletics or locks that are on the wrong locker will be cut at the end of the school day on Thursday, March 16th.  Items from the locker will be put into the Lost and Found.

Any 9th and 10th Grade Boys Basketball players who have still not turned in their uniforms can do so today after school at 2:45 on the athletic side of the locker room.

ACTIVITIES:
Congratulations to the speech team for placing 2nd at the Shakopee Tournament over the weekend.  There were 6 finalists: Jenna Zimmerman, Isabella Phan, Annika Ronning, Enoni Imasuen, Olivia Higgins, and Abigail Larson.

Congratulations as well to Ian Klein who advanced to the semifinals of Oratory at the Lakeville North Tournament.  Finally, congratulations to Claire Miller who advanced to semifinals in Humor, which qualified her for the NIETOC Tournament in Kansas City this May.

A reminder to NHS Students:  There is a meeting TODAY in the back pod of the auditorium right after school. Please let an advisor know if you cannot make the meeting.

ATHLETICS:
Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team for winning the conference championship last Friday with a 78-48 victory over Kennedy. The team will open up section play against Chanhassen this Wednesday at Jefferson.

A Spring Volleyball players’ meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 7th @ 2:45pm in the Media Center and the Parent/Booster meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 7 @ 6:30pm in the Cafeteria.

Boys Hockey tickets for Jefferson vs. St. Thomas Academy can be purchased in the cafeteria today during the  lunch hours of 11:00 - 12:30. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults - please help them out by having exact change!
