Feb. 26 DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Tri 3 parking permit applications are available in the main office. All obligations must be cleared prior to receiving a permit be sure to check the updated obligation list in the main office. To ensure your permit for Tri 3 please submit by February 27th.

Detention will be held today after school in rooms C117, C115, and C20.

ALL PE lockers must be cleaned out by Tuesday, March 3rd, 3pm.
All lost and found clothes will be donated after that date.



Athletics:



There will be a baseball meeting this Friday, 7:20am in the activity center for anyone interested in trying out for the baseball team.  Please see coach Gess if you cannot attend the meeting.

Teachers please check your mailbox for passes for students to go to the auditorium tomorrow during homeroom to complete enrollment for next year.


Athletics:

There will be a girl’s lacrosse meeting tomorrow during the 2nd half of homeroom in the main gym with head coach Izzy.

Come to the gym at 7:00 tonight to watch the girl’s basketball team play in their last regular season home game vs St. Louis Park on Senior Night.  Go Jags!

Career center:

Anyone planning to take an AP Exam this year must attend the AP Exam Registration meeting during homeroom tomorrow.
This is a mandatory meeting if you wish to take an AP Exam this year. You should check in with your homeroom teacher, and then meet in the front of the auditorium. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Lang in C104.

ACTIVITIES:

Congratulations to the following speech team members for placing at the Eastview Speech Tournament this weekend!  Ian Klein placed 1st in open original oratory, Dora Deak placed 4th in championship prose, and Maren Koester placed 5th in open discussion.  The following students received honorable mention:  Quincy Bryant, humor; Holly Sedler, ex. reading; Emma Liddle, discussion; Jeremy Kuoch humor; and Kathy Wang oratory.   

Congratulations to the Connection and JIVE show choirs for their terrific performances at the Hastings Show Choir Competition over the weekend. Connection placed 6th in AA, JIVE placed 3rd in A, and Amanda Erickson received a performance award and scholarship to Morningside College.

Athletics:

Congratulations to the table tennis team for reaching the championship round of the State Tournament.  The team finished in the top ten.  Participants were:

TJ Voigt, Jonah Punnoose, Jack Friebe, Jacob Bratton, Samer Bakri, Kyle Wendorf, Peter Ngyuyen, Dan Tobon, Vi Duong, Jackson Yuiell, Joe Punnoose and Jonathan Loo.

Congrats to Brayden Morris who qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament at the 182 wt class. Griffin Lindahl placed 3rd and Jake Olson placed 5th.


Congratulations to the freshman boy’s basketball team on an outstanding season. The freshman boys team won all four tournaments they participated in and won both Metro West Conference Championship and the Post Season Conference Tournament.

JHS please notice the change in parking for the Activity Center Parking Lot. There is  ”No Parking” by any tennis court sign. Fines double in these areas. Please do NOT park next to any tennis court.

If you missed the Thursday night meeting, please see Mr. Sieling today in room B104.  If you are going to the Eastview Tournament, remember to be at Jefferson at 6:55 AM to catch the bus at 7.

Athletics:

Anyone interested in playing Boys Golf please plan to attend the meeting on March 2nd in Room C28 @ 3:00pm with Mr. Schram.

Congratulations to the Boys hockey team they defeated Holy Angels 3-2 last night. Bob Lascarbeau had the game-winning goal. Jags play Edina tomorrow at 12pm at Braemar come on out to see the game and show your support.
