ACTIVITIES:
The Jefferson Science Olympiad team competed in the
Regional State Qualifiers over the weekend, taking 2nd place overall out of 10
teams. This was the best performance by the Jefferson squad on record and
earned them a trip to the State Tournament next month! Taking top three places
in their Team #1 science and engineering events were Blake Johnson, Sydney
Skarbalus, Delaney Wilton, Greta Vacura, Isaac Kasahara, Kelly Mitzel, Isaac
Johnson, Zach George, Mattie Johnson, Nick Meyer, and Matthew Steigauf. And the
entirety of Team #2 placed in the top three. Well done and good luck at State!
Athletics:
Congratulations to the Gymnastics Team on their 5th Place finish at
Sections on Friday.
Leah Dargis qualified for the State meet on Vault with her 3rd place
finish. She will compete at State on Saturday at the University of
Minnesota at 6:00pm.
Leah also finished 7th on bars and 8th all around. Hannah
Mellesmoen finished 5th on beam.
