DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: MAY 31, 2019

TEAMS/CLUBS:
Any Sophomores or Freshmen playing football in the fall should plan to attend a mandatory meeting this coming Monday (June 3rd) at 7:20 AM in Coach Carlson’s room, C27.

All boy athletes who are no longer competing in the spring sports season, please turn in all equipment and locks to Mr. Walton after school next Monday, June 3rd or Tuesday, June 4th at the equipment window. All equipment not turned in will be added to the obligation list.

This is a reminder that all Girls PE and athletic lockers need to be cleaned out by Tuesday, June 4th.

MISC:
*Students, please check in the main office for lost and found items. We have clothing, water bottles, lunch boxes, books, jewelry, small electronics, sports equipment, car keys, and more that have gone unclaimed. Anything remaining at the end of the school year will be donated, so be sure to check for your missing items!

*Students going to Valleyfair tomorrow should go immediately to the front of the school AFTER 1st hour. It is advisable to bring rain gear because you will go on the trip even if it is raining.  Season pass holders should not forget their passes. Students not going on the trip should report to C118, Mr. Sufka's room, during their scheduled science class.

TEAMS/CLUBS:

*All GIRLS JV track, and GIRLS spring sport athletes that are not competing or any fall/winter athletes that need to turn in athletic uniforms and gear, please do so this Wednesday, May 22 after school at 2:15pm. Please clean out your lockers if you are finished competing for the year.

*Fall Dance Team Tryouts will be held at the Kennedy HS main gyms on May 22 and 23 from 3:15 PM - 5:00 PM. All interested 8th-12th grade dancers are welcome to audition.

*Congratulations to the Boys Track and Field Team in winning the Metro West Conference Championship last night. Leading the way was junior Colden Longley with two gold medals in the mile and two mile runs. Seniors Lakeice Henderson and Lucas Kramarczuk were on the podium in four different events. Elliot Sambugaro was on the podium in three events. Pierce Oppong, Christo Melville, TIm Lueth, Raiyez Mann, Hillary Makori and Rashaun Cage had two podium finishes. This is the boys first conference championship in 34 years! Congratulations boys!

*Congratulations to speech team members who competed at the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions last weekend in Omaha, Nebraska where they went up against contestants from all over the country.  Amelia Miller advanced to octafinals (top 60) in oratory and Abigail Larson and Claire Miller advanced to quarterfinals (top 30) in oratory and informative speaking. Well done, speech team!

*Prom tickets are on sale in the main office before and after school. All fines must be paid before you will be allowed to purchase tickets. Check on Infinite Campus under the fees tab or check at the prom table during lunch to see if you have any outstanding fines. Tickets are $40 each, payable with a check made out to ISD271; please do not come with cash. Guest forms are required for all non-JHS students.  Pick up guest forms from Mrs. Sheff in the Counseling Office.

*Students, please check the Lost and Found tables in Flag Hall for your missing clothing items, lunch boxes, and water bottles. Check in the main office for missing keys, jewelry, small electronics, books, or sporting equipment. Please be honest and take only what actually belongs to you!

*Attention Seniors, all books, book fines and Chromebook fees are due this Friday, May 10th in the Media Center.  If you MUST have a book for class, you need to clear it with the Media Center staff first to be able to keep it longer. Obligations may be viewed in Infinite Campus under Fees. You must take care of your obligations to receive a cap and gown on Tuesday, May 14th.
