December 17th DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to Elise Longley and Jack Tillotson for being named Bloomington Jefferson High School's 2015-2016 ExCEL nominees!  One female and one male student from Bloomington Jefferson High School are nominated for this award yearly.  Criteria for the ExCEL Award includes: Junior in high school, participation in Minnesota State High School League sponsored fine arts and/or athletic activities, demonstration of leadership qualities, volunteerism and academic excellence. We are proud to have them represent Jefferson High School in this statewide process. 

Detention will be in room C115 today at 2:20pm.



ACTIVITIES:

Attention Jefferson Science Olympiad members: team registration is due by the end of this week; be sure to make your membership official! Also, please attend Thursday's important after school meeting. We will be discussing our competition season that begins in January

December 16th DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Athletics:

All baseball players that sold cookie dough, the delivery is today at 2:15pm in the cafeteria.  Be sure to pick up your cookie dough before 2:30pm.



Career center:

A recruiter from the Marines will be here today during lunches.  Please sign up in the Career Center if interested.

A representative from Normandale will be in today at 1:30.  Please sign up in the Career Center before 5th hour if you are interested in learning more about Normandale.

December 15th DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

ACTIVITIES:

Students interested in learning more about the Bloomington Career and College Academy please attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 16 during homeroom.  The meeting will take place in the cafeteria.  Check in with your homeroom teacher first then come to the cafeteria.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Hall in the main office.

Attention: Students there will be a Sadie’s Dance Saturday, December 19th from 8pm-11pm in the cafeteria. Tickets will be sold Monday thru Wednesday next week at lunchtime for $5.00. Be sure to check the obligation list first so you may go to the dance.

Congratulations to the Jefferson math team for an exceptional performance last night. The team placed in 5th for the meet. They are currently in 6th for the season. Ashley Neuenfeldt and Adeline Vacura both earned perfect scores on event B. 

Interested in graduating with an honors Diploma? Come to the informational meeting this Wednesday, December 16th during the 2nd half of homeroom in room C20. Any questions or you can’t make the meeting contact Ms. Aby in room C20.

The Literary Magazine meeting for today is cancelled.  We will meet again after break.
