Education Foundation of Bloomington, Walser Foundation, and Phoenix Daylight Masonic Lodge would love to consider you for their scholarships. Pick up applications in the Career Center or download them online from Naviance Family Connection. Be sure to note deadlines for each application.

Mr. Kressin will be here on Wednesday, January 25th for an informational meeting during advisory at 9:45 am in the auditorium.  This meeting is open to any student interested in learning more about the BCCA.  Please check in with your advisory teacher before going to the auditorium.

Attention Variety Show Performers: This is a reminder that we are having a stage rehearsal immediately after school today. We look forward to seeing you there!

ATHLETICS:

Gary Kressin the director of the Bloomington Career and College Academy will be in the Media Center today at 1:00 pm to meet with any student interested in learning more about the course offerings available through BCCA.  See Ms. Linschied in the Career Center to get a pass to this meeting.

Spanish Club will watch a movie today after school in C15. Bring a snack to share and something to drink.

ATHLETICS:

Girls Basketball Pack the Gym Night is tonight  at 7 PM vs Chaska.  The first 150 people to arrive get free Chik-fil-A and there will be contests at halftime with big prizes to be awarded.  Come early to get a good seat!

There will be a photo taken for the yearbook of the debate team in C20 at the start of period 6 tomorrow.  All debaters are encouraged to come for the photo.

The Air Force recruiter will be visiting Jefferson today during lunches. You can find Staff Sergeant Dilling in the lunchroom between 11:15-12:15.

ATHLETICS:

Jefferson Boy’s hockey defeated Eastridge 4-2 on goals by Nick Goedderz, Bob Lescarbeau, Hunter Jacobs, and Noah Ganske. Jags play home next Tuesday against Eastview. Come out and show your spirit.

Congratulations again to the boys varsity Cross-Country Ski Team. Winning the MetroWest Conference 5.5K Classic race, placing 4 skiers in the top 10. Girls placed 4th with strong skiing from Chloe Larson and Sarah Rinnman Go Nordic.

ATHLETICS:
Congratulations to the boys varsity Cross-Country Ski Team. With strong performances from Matthew Clarke (1st place) and Anders Olson (2nd) the boys won the Metro West Conference 5k Skate race yesterday. Go Nordic


CAREER CENTER:

Seniors, applications are now available for the Education Foundation of Bloomington. You can find the application on the Career Center web page, or stop in to the Career Center to pick up a paper copy.

The recruiter for the Marine Corps will be at Jefferson tomorrow during lunches. Look for him in the hallway by the lunch room.

Congratulations to Michelle Allegro Wang & Sam Vacura for placing 1st at Section 3 State Quals in Policy Debate last weekend.  Please wish them luck on January 13th and 14th at the State Debate Tournament at the U of M!  

Congratulations to Jaguar DECA in a fantastic district competition. 20 of our 22 competitors advanced to state.  Highlighted by a 1st place finish by Greta Vacura, 2nd place finishes by Bharath Sivaram, Ben Jourdan, and Danny Boie, and 3rd place finishes by Seth Rosenburg, Jalyn Hamilton, Jade Harris, and Jasmine Jackson.

Bloomington is hosting a job fair at the Bloomington Civic Plaza this Saturday from 10am - 1pm. Opportunities in seasonal parks and rec, public works and golf course, and internships in parks and rec, and engineering and environmental health available.
