DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: June 8, 2022

*If you are taking AP for 11th grade or 12th grade English, be sure to check in with your English teacher about the summer reading requirements. The information will also be available on the JHS Media Center Website.


*For anyone interested in joining Jag Power over the summer, registration is now open. There are limited spots available, so sign up as soon as possible. Registration is open until June 30th. If you have any questions, stop by the Weight Room after school this week.

*Attention Students! Chromebooks will be collected during 6th period tomorrow. If you do not have a 6th-period class, return your Chromebook to the Media Center after your final class and before leaving the building. WE will NOT be collecting chargers this year. Your Chromebook charger is yours for your entire high school career. If it is lost, a replacement will cost $25.

*Students with lockers! All lockers must be completely cleaned out by the end of the school day tomorrow. Combinations will be changed over the summer and you will no longer have access to your locker. Be sure that you leave no items behind.

*Attention Students! Chromebooks will be collected during 6th period this Thursday, June 9. If you do not have a 6th-period class, return your Chromebook to the Media Center after your final class and before leaving the building. WE will NOT be collecting chargers this year. Your Chromebook charger is yours for your entire high school career. If it is lost, a replacement will cost $25.

*Students with lockers! All lockers must be completely cleaned out by the end of the school day on Thursday. Combinations will be changed over the summer and you will no longer have access to your locker. Be sure that you leave no items behind. 

*Be sure to return your checked-out library books to the Media Center as soon as possible. Make sure you have all of your textbooks ready to turn in to your teachers this week as well. You are responsible for returning materials or paying for them if they’re lost. Remember, missing materials will prevent you from being able to purchase a parking permit or attending school dances, so be sure to get your materials returned!


*If you have medication in the Health Office, please be sure to pick it up before you leave on the last day of school.


*The building will be closing at 2:50 today. If you are not asked to be here by a staff member or coach, please plan on exiting the building at that time.

The cost of missing items will be recorded as a fine on your Infinite Campus account. All Athletic and PE lockers must be cleaned out and locks returned by Thursday as well. Items remaining in the lockers will be removed and donated.

Check for electronics, jewelry, or smaller, more valuable items in the main office. If you are on the swim/dive team and have lost your backpack, please come to the main office. Items not claimed by the end of this week will be repurposed or donated.

DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: April 18, 2022

*Jefferson Theater Company presents its Elvis Presley inspired spring musical All Shook Up for 2 weekends beginning this Thursday, April 21st. Tickets can be purchased on the Jefferson Theater website. Consider bringing a food or cash donation with you to the show. All donations will go to the Jefferson Jag Den.

*11th and 12th graders who plan on attending the Junior/Senior PROM! If you plan on bringing a guest from another school, you and your guest will need to fill out a form and fax it back to the school NO LATER THAN MAY 9th, the Monday before the dance. Forms are now available in the main office. You are encouraged to pick up the form and get it returned as soon as possible or you risk not being able to bring your guest to the dance.

*11TH GRADE STUDENTS: The district ACT is being given this Thursday, April 14 at JHS. You will need to arrive at school with your fully charged, school issued Chromebook and charger.  If you do not have a school issued Chromebook, be sure to visit the Media Center ASAP to get one. We will not be able to give out loaners on the day of testing. Check your school email for more detailed information. See Ms. Jarvis or Ms. Wallerick with any questions. Students should check their email or the posted lists for their ACT room assignments. Lists are posted in Flag Hall, the Main Office, and downstairs.

*Congratulations to the Jefferson Robotics Team. Out of the 55 teams present at the University of Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional Tournament, our team made it all the way to the semifinals. The team also won the Excellence in Engineering Award. Congratulations to a great season, team BJORG!

*The Jefferson Flag Corps is recruiting new members! Flag Corps is open to Bloomington students entering grades 8 - 12 in the fall. Tryouts are next week, April 11th - April 14th at Jefferson.
