*Congratulations to the Science Olympiad squad for their 10th place finish in the UW-River Falls invitational. Medal winners were Grace Jarvis and Anne Louise Kolstad in Ping Pong Parachute and Trajectory and Irene Zheng and Kelsey Bechtold in Ornithology. Congratulations, Science Olympiad students!

CAREER/COLLEGE CENTER:

*The Red Cross Club will be  holding a fundraiser during next week's lunch periods beginning on Monday, February 7th. Buy Valentine’s Day roses for friends for just $3 each. Proceeds go to the Red Cross Association.

*A representative from South Dakota State University will be holding a college meeting on Monday, and the career speaker for next Thursday will offer information about career opportunities in the field of Physical Therapy. Check out Naviance for these and other meeting opportunities. Remember, all students need to attend at least one college meeting and one career meeting during high school.

*The Jefferson Jive and Connection Show Choirs premier their competition shows tomorrow! All students and staff are invited to attend our preview, Dessert and A Show, on Saturday night. The event starts at 5 p.m. and groups perform throughout the evening. Get there by 7:00 pm in order to see both groups. Tickets are available at the door for $10.

*5th Hour Forensic Science students should meet in the back pod of the auditorium for class today.

*Congratulations to Jaguar DECA for an excellent district conference.  They had 13 competitors qualify for the state conference highlighted by:
Carly Peterson who finished 1st place in Employment Interview, Entry Level
Sophie Andersen who finished 2nd place in Sales Demo, Hardlines
Kehan Chen who finished 3rd place in Employment Interview, Entry Level
Well done, DECA!

*Students who are interested in the PSEO program for next year are invited to attend an information session in the auditorium today during Academic Seminar. Interested students should go directly to the auditorium at the beginning of the ASEM period.
