ACTIVITIES:
*The Jefferson Theater Company will be rescheduling the Student-Directed One-Act plays. They have been cancelled for this weekend.

MISC:
*Any student interested in presenting a booth at this year's Diversity Day should turn in their application today to Mr. Hupton in room C5. See Mr. Hupton with any questions.

*Please check the lost and found tables for your missing water bottles, lunch bags, and clothing items. Anything not claimed by the end of the school day today will be donated or repurposed.

*Due to our early release schedule the passing time between classes is 5 minutes long rather than the usual 6 minutes. Watch the countdown clocks; you are expected to arrive to classes on time.

*For those students who have put off purchasing a parking permit for Trimester 3, please be aware that the front lot permits are nearly sold out. For those students who have purchased a pass but have not yet picked it up, please come to the main office to claim your permit as soon as possible.

*DCTC students will not be attending class today. You should sign in at the Media Center for your 5th and 6th hour classes or have a parent call attendance to give you permission to leave the building early.

*Teachers, please survey your 2nd period class for the number of students planning to eat hot lunch today. Email Connie Theis with your results.

CAREER/COLLEGE CENTER:
The following information was emailed to all JHS students:
1. People are calling everyday looking for workers for this summer. Bookmark the Career Center Page and click on the Jobs link for information. You can also find flyers on the bulletin board outside the Career Center and in the Jobs Binder in the Career Center. 

2. Complete PGP requirements. Be sure to do the activities in the lessons. The Career Cluster Inventory (9th), Strengths Explorer (10th), Career Interest Profiler (11th) are required to complete in Naviance

3. For this year's 10th and 11th graders: Meet with one College Rep and one Career Speaker between 10th-12th Grades.

MISC:

*Congratulations to the South Suburban Jets floor hockey team who qualified for the state tournament with an 11-3 victory over St. Cloud. The Jets first game of the state tournament will be at 8:00 on Friday, March 13 against New Prague. The game will be played in the Jefferson main gym. Go Jets!

*There will be a Jefferson Girls Volleyball player meeting for any girls interested in joining the volleyball team. The meeting is after school today at 2:45 PM in the Media Center.

*All boy athletes that competed in a winter sport other than Varsity Boys Basketball will  need to have their athletic locker cleared out by 3:00 PM this Thursday, March 5th. The lockers are needed for the spring sports season.  Athletes who have not turned in their uniform or lock can do so right after school today at 2:45 on the athletics side of the locker room.  If you have any questions contact Mr. Walton.

*Congratulations to Sam Wallace for placing 4th in diving this past weekend at the Minnesota State Swimming and Diving meet.


*Attention all 9th Grade and B-Squad boys basketball players! Please turn in your locks and any other missing equipment today after school at 2:45 PM on the athletic side of the locker room.


*There will be a Jefferson Girls Volleyball player meeting for any girls interested in joining the volleyball team. The meeting will be tomorrow, March 3rd, at 2:45 PM in the Media Center.


*The Jefferson Clay Target team will be holding an information meeting this evening for any interested students. The meeting will be held in room A104 at 6:00 PM. Parents are welcome to attend as well.

*Trimester 3 parking permits are now available. All applications must be done online, which is a change from previous trimesters. Beginning the first day of Tri 3, all other permits will be invalid, so be sure to apply for and pick up your new permit as soon as possible! Remember, you must fill out a new application for every trimester!

*Attention online students! If you have signed up for an online course for Trimester 3, be sure to stop by the attendance window to pick up your required pink form as soon as possible. All Tri 3 online students will need to fill out and return this form!
