Attention Boys Lacrosse players: Coach Cater would like to remind you that locker checkout is today after school in the boys locker room.

Attention baseball players: 10-12th grade baseball practice will start at 2:30 today.

ACTIVITIES:
Attention 11th graders:
All 11th graders will attend an ACT prep session during Academic Seminar this Thursday, March 22. This session will provide vital information regarding the ACT exam. Please report directly to the auditorium at 9:33am tomorrow morning. All 11th graders will be taking the ACT at Jefferson on Tuesday, April 3.  See Ms. Jarvis with any questions.

Congratulations to Bella Phan who placed third in original oratory at the 6AA Speech tournament last night.  She will now compete at the Mn. State High School League State Speech Tournament on Friday, April 20 at Apple Valley High School.  Congratulations as well to Alexa Schirber, who finished as 1st alternate in humor.

MISC:
Seniors who have not picked up their ordered items from National Recognition Products can now pick them up in the Main Office. Please come as soon as possible.

Seniors, please complete the final mock awards vote in your email by Tuesday.

If you ordered your Tri 3 parking permit online, please pick it up in the Main Office as soon as possible. Remember, the permits are not valid unless they are properly displayed in your vehicle.

Seniors, a representative from National Recognition Products will be in the cafeteria during lunchtime tomorrow, March 20th, to deliver graduation announcements and any other senior products you may have ordered from them earlier this school year. Please plan on picking up your ordered items at that time.

Lost and Found tables have been set up in Flag Hall. Please check there for missing clothing items and water bottles.  You may ask about smaller or more valuable items in the Main Office.

Seniors, if you are planning on applying for the Honors Diploma, please turn your paperwork into Ms. Aby-Keirstead's mailbox in the Counseling Office by this Friday, March 16th.


Seniors, a representative from National Recognition Products will be in the cafeteria during lunchtime on
Tuesday, March 20th to deliver graduation announcements and any other senior products you may have ordered from them earlier this school year. Please plan on picking up your ordered items on that day.


If you have ordered a parking permit online, please pick it up from Mrs. Duffy in the Main Office as soon as possible.

There is a mandatory meeting for students in DCTC courses today at 9:45 am in the Cafeteria.

Congratulations to Alexa Schirber who qualified for the National Speech and Debate Tournament this weekend in both humorous and dramatic interpretation. She will join teammate Bella Phan, who qualified in the fall to go to nationals in Congressional Debate. Congratulations as well to our semifinalists at the National Qualifier: Amelia Miller, Bella Phan, and Claire Miller.

ATHLETICS:
Boys interested in playing high school golf should plan on attending a meeting today at 3pm in room C28.

There will be a Girls Lacrosse captains’ practice today at 4:25pm on courts 1&2.

CAREER CENTER:
A representative from the following colleges and universities will be in the Career Center this week:
  University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse today at 10:30am
  Illinois Institute of Technology today at 1:30pm

A representative from the NERDERY: a custom software design & development company, will be the Career Spotlight speaker of the Week on Friday at 1:40pm in the Career Center. See Mrs. Wallerick with any questions.

Valleyfair is currently hiring for the summer and will have a representative in the Career Center on Friday from 11:00am - 12:30pm. Stop by if you’re interested in learning more.

Students, don’t forget to submit in your stories, poems, and artwork to the Jefferson Literary Arts Magazine, The Crooked Quill, by this Friday, March 16th. Contact Mr. Hupton if you have any questions.

All boys winter athletic lockers (except for Varsity Basketball) must be cleaned out by the end of the school day today.  Any uniforms or equipment not turned in will be added to the obligation list. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Walton in room C06.  

Girls lacrosse captains practices start this Monday, March 12th at 4:25pm on Courts 1 & 2.

MISC:
A reminder to BCCA students: Your period 4 final exam ends at 10:40 today and you should report immediately to the main door to meet your bus. The bus will be leaving for BCCA at 10:50am. Please be on time!

There is no school on Monday or Tuesday, March 12th & 13th. School will resume on Wednesday, March 14th.

Daylight Savings Time is this weekend. Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour!

ATTENTION VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS:  There will be an informational meeting today at 2:45pm in the Jefferson Media Center. If you plan to play volleyball in the fall of 2018, please plan to attend.


Boys 9th and 10th grade basketball uniform and lock turn in will take place today after school on the athletic side of the locker room.


Congratulations to Andy Pfau for placing 2nd at the state dive meet last Saturday night at the University of Minnesota.
