*Congratulations to the Girls’ Golf team! Yesterday, the girls captured first place honors in the Minnesota Valley Invitational. Competing for the Jaguars was Isabelle Lynch, Sarah Rinnman, Emily Christiansen, Katie Rinnman, Brooke Brazell, and Ella Murphy-Thompson. Medalist for the tournament was sophomore Isabelle Lynch, shooting a score of 74. Congratulations, girls!

MISC:

*Congratulations to Colden Longley who broke the school record in the 3200 Meter Run at the Hamline Elite meet on Friday with a time of 9 minutes, 17.09 seconds.  That's two miles in 9 minutes. Great job Colden!

*Have an impact on our community and become a registered voter. Stop by the Career Center during lunch this Wednesday, May 1st. You will need to have a state ID, driver’s license, or a social security number with you in order to register.

*Register now the May 3rd and 4th Box City Vigil. The vigil is a fun event for students to help raise awareness for youth homelessness. There will be pizza, live music, games and prizes. Registration forms are available in the main office. Return your form by tomorrow, April 18th, if you’re interested in ordering a T-shirt. All other registrations will be accepted until May 3rd, the day of the event.

*Congratulations to the Jefferson Boys' Volleyball team who won their first ever matches last night against Rochester Mayo.  JV won 2-1 and the Varsity won 3-0! The first ever boys' volleyball home match will be on Wednesday, April 24 with JV at 6:30 PM and Varsity at 7:30 PM. Admission is free for students and $5 for adults.

*The second AP exam meeting will be held in the auditorium this Wednesday, April 10th, during Advisory. It is a mandatory meeting for anyone signed up to take an AP exam this spring. The only exception will be for those who are taking a studio art exam; those students are not required to attend this meeting. Please bring a pencil to fill out your answer sheet. Check in with your advisory teacher, and then go immediately to the auditorium. See Mr. Lang in C104 if you have any questions.

*This year’s Prom will be held at the Mall of America, and because of mall security rules, ALL students will need a state-issued ID in order to be admitted to the dance. Please see the JHS website for a link to acceptable forms of ID.  If you don't have a driver's license or passport it is very important that you act now; it may take a while to get a state-issued ID.

*Congratulations to the Jefferson Robotics team for receiving the 2019 Entrepreneurship Award at the Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional over spring break. This award celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit and recognizes a team which has developed a comprehensive business plan in order to define, manage, and achieve the team’s ongoing objectives. Our team displayed entrepreneurial enthusiasm and demonstrated the vital planning and business skills to ensure a self-sustaining program. Congratulations, Jefferson Robotics!
