DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: MAY 14, 2019

ACTIVITIES:
*Enter the Diversity Day Poetry and Spoken Word contest for your chance to win $100. Pick up an application in the office. Submissions are due May 20th by 3PM.

*Clothing Drive items should be dropped off in the cafeteria at lunch.

*Seniors, cap/gown & ticket pick up starts today in Flag Hall! You may pick up your materials during passing time and/or lunch. Materials will be available until 2:30 today. You may not leave class to pick up items! After today, all materials will be available for pick up in the Main Office. See Ms. Jarvis with any questions.

TEAMS/CLUBS:
*Congratulations to speech team members who competed at the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions last weekend in Omaha, Nebraska where they went up against contestants from all over the country.  Amelia Miller advanced to octafinals (top 60) in oratory and Abigail Larson and Claire Miller advanced to quarterfinals (top 30) in oratory and informative speaking. Well done, speech team!

MISC:
*Attention Students in Grades 9 - 11: Please check your school email for information on keeping your Chromebook this summer.

*Attention Seniors: Senior Chromebooks will be collected on Wednesday, May 29th during your 6th-period class. If you do not have a 6th-period class, return your Chromebook and charger to the Media Center before leaving the building after your last class of the term.

*Register for Friday’s Career Spotlight event where our guest speaker will be here to answer your questions about a career in Transportation, Logistics, and Distribution. Check your email to register. See Ms. Wallerick in the Career Center if you have questions.

*Students in Grades 9-11,
The last day to checkout books in the Media Center is this Friday, May 17th.  All books, book fines and Chromebook fees are due Friday, May 24th in the Media Center.   Obligations may be viewed in Infinite Campus under Fees.  Any student with a book out after May 24th will be assessed a $5 late fee.  Please see the Media Center staff if you have questions.
