Feb. 3 DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Seniors -- it's time to check the diploma list to be sure that your name is spelled correctly!   Please stop at the counseling desk to check the list and also to fill out a card with the phonetic pronunciation of your name as well as other information that is required.   You have until this Friday, February 6th to do this!

Detention will be after school today in rooms B110, and C116.

ACTIVITIES:

Jefferson competed for the first time this year in the MN Brain Bee, which is a competition about neuroscience for high school students. The best young brains are quizzed about the brain and how it relates to intelligence, memory, emotions, sensations, movement, stress, aging, sleep and brain disorders (such as addiction, Alzheimer disease and stroke). In January Praveen Pallegar took an online exam and placed 8th in the preliminary round. He and 29 other students from the preliminary round now progress to the State competition, which will be held on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota on February 11th.  Good luck to Praveen!

Athletics:

There will be a football meeting tomorrow in the back of the auditorium during Homeroom at 9:56 am for those playing football, or interested in playing football next fall.
