Seniors interested in giving a graduation speech,
tryouts are Thursday, May 5th at 2:25pm in C29. You must turn in a hard copy of the speech to
Mrs. Duffy in the Main Office, by Wednesday, May 4th at 3:30 pm. If
you have any questions please see your English teacher or Mrs. Duffy in the
main office.
Last chance to sign up for Diversity day run and booth,
turn in the paperwork by this Friday to Ms. Sheff in the counseling office.
Seniors that ordered graduation announcements and
didn’t pick them up yesterday please stop in the main office to pick them up.
Detention will be after school today in room C117 at
2:20.
ACTIVITIES:
Did you miss the literary magazine release party last week? No
worries, literary magazine staff will be selling copies of the magazine,
entitled, The Crooked Quill, at lunch on today and Friday for
$5. Come pick up a copy and check out all the great artistic work
students at Jefferson have created.
Athletics:
The girl’s track team
competed in the St. Louis Park Invitational Tuesday night. In individual
events and relays they placed 3rd in 5 events, 2nd in 7 events and was 1st in
the 4x400. Overall, They earned 125.3 points finishing second to Edina
who scored 130.7. Great job girls!
Congrats to the baseball team on their 16-6 win over conference rival Cooper.
The Jags had 15 hits and will take on defending state champion Chanhassen today at
Dred Scott fields at 4:30 pm.
Congratulations to Andy Swartz who won the Shot Put and Jessie Richard
who won the Discus Tuesday night at the St. Louis Park Invitational.

year's only recruiting visit for the US Coast Guard will be this Thursday
from 11:15-12:15 in the Career Center. If you would like to learn
