January 12th DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

All juniors need to report directly to the auditorium for homeroom tomorrow. You will sit with your homeroom teacher and attendance will be taken.

Detention will be in room C116 today at 2:40pm

ACTIVITIES:

Congratulations to Jaguar DECA on a great district competition.  They had 12 students advance to the state conference, highlighted by Sam Irvin's 2nd place finish and Hannah Terry's 4th place finish in Sales Demo Hardlines, Daniela Kunkel and Greta Vacura's 5th place finish in Buying and Merchandising Team Event, and Danny Boie's 5th place finish in Food Marketing Series.  Good job and good luck at state.

Congratulations to Abdullahi Ali and Allegro Wang for placing second at sections last weekend.  They will be representing Jefferson in policy debate at the MSHSL State Debate Tournament this Friday and Saturday at the U of M. 

Spanish Club will eat at Andale Taquería on Tuesday, January 19. See Sra. Brooke-Beyer for a driver-rider form.

Prom committee meeting for prospective members will be held today after school at 2:45 in the Media center or Thursday at 2:15. To be on the committee you must attend one of these short 10-minute meetings.

Congratulations to Ella Marzolf and Dora Deak for advancing to the final round of duo interpretation and placing 6th at the 2015 Sunvitational Speech Tournament in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida this weekend.  There were almost 80 duo teams in their category.  Over 1200 students from 90 teams and 18 states competed at the tournament.

   

Career center:

A Navy recruiter will be in the Career Center on Wednesday Jan. 13 during lunches.  If you are interesting in meeting with him, please sign up in the Career Center.
