ACTIVITIES:

Because voting will take place @ JHS on Tuesday, November 3^rd the Activity Center parking lot will be closed to all students. Please park in the Olson Lot FOR THIS DAY ONLY.  Thank you.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the week! Science Olympiad returns to Jefferson High School. This Thursday after school in C127, the Jefferson Science Olympiad team will hold their first meeting of the season. Anyone can join! Stop by Thursday after school in C127 for more information.

Attention Math Team:

Our first meet is today in Apple Valley.  Stop by Ms. Woods' room C102 to sign up for your 2 events.  Catch the bus at 2:45 by the choir room.  See Ms. Woods if you have any questions.

There will be an important baseball meeting for all 9-12 graders planning on trying out for baseball this spring.  The meeting will be Wednesday morning at 7:15am in the Activity center.

Freshmen interested in running for student council pick up the application form in the counseling office. Once the form is submitted, campaigning can begin. The last day to turn in you applications for student council is tomorrow at 3:30.

Athletics:

Girls Basketball captains practice will start after school today at 3:00 in the Activity Center and run the next two weeks.  All planning to tryout are encouraged to attend.  Talk with one of the captains if you have any questions.

Boy athletes, who have not turned in their fall sports equipment yet, may do so after school on Thursday, Nov. 5^th from 2:20-2:50 at the equipment window in the boy’s locker room.  Also, all athletic side lockers must be cleaned out by 3:00 this Friday, Nov. 6^th in order to get ready for the winter sports season.   If you have any questions, please see Mr. Walton in C-06.

There will be a captain's practice for Nordic Ski team today at 3:15pm in the activity center.

Career center:

A representative from the University of Northern Iowa will be in the Career Center on Tuesday, November 3^rd at 10:30.  If you are interested in UNI, please sign up in the Career Center today.
