ACTIVITIES:
Congratulations to the speech team members who placed in the finals at
the Bloomington Speech Tournament on Saturday: Dora Deak placed
5th in prose, Sarina Le, 7th in prose; Maren Koester 6th in
discussion, and Brendan Klein, 6th in oratory;
In the honor finals: Dora Deak and Ella Marzolf were 5th in duo;
Cecilia Bernard and Laura Bredehorst, 7th in duo; Josh Magnus,
4th in humor; Alexa Schirber, 7th in humor; and Jing Jing Zeng, 7th in poetry.
Athletics:
Anyone interested in playing Boys Golf please plan to attend the meeting
tonight in Room C28 @ 3:00pm with Mr. Schram.
Congratulations to the Jefferson Bantam AA hockey team
for qualifying for the state tournament by beating Eden Prairie 3-2. State tournament
is in two weeks in Duluth.
JHS Staff, Coaches, Advisors:
I am proud to announce that Kate Deming is the
2015 Jefferson HS Athena Award winner. The Athena Award is given each
year to the outstanding female athlete in the senior class at Jefferson HS.
Kate will be honored at the Minneapolis Athena Banquet May 1st along with
other metro Athena recipients.
Make sure to congratulate Kate when you see
her in class.
Congrats to the Boys Swim and Dive team on
their 2nd place section place finish Friday night.
State qualifiers are:
Noah Becker, Scott Blazanin, Reeve Bowling, Michael
Foss, Andy Pfau, Jacob Upton and Jesse Upton.
The state swim and dive meet will be held this
Thursday (dive prelims), Friday (swim prelims) and Saturday (swim and dive
finals) at the U of M Aquatic Center....all start times are 6 pm.
Career center:
The deadline for registering
for AP Exams is Thursday, March 5th, at 2:45pm.
