JHS remember this week is a traditional 6-period week
there will be no homeroom or academic seminar.
ACTIVITIES:
Yesterday
was the Minnesota State High School Science Bowl competition at Macalester
College. 32 teams competed to answer science and math related
questions. Our team placed 23rd! Congratulations to Samantha Evert
(10th grade), Mia Locquengnies (10th grade), Sophia Gleason (10th grade), Heidi
Krauss (10th grade) and Emily Jorschumb (9th grade)
All 1 Act play participants will be excused at 2:00 for the Metro West
1-Act play competition at Benilde-St Margaret's.
Over the weekend the Jefferson Science Olympiad team
traveled to River Falls, Wisconsin to compete in a Border Battle tournament
with 59 teams from 32 of the best performing schools from Minnesota, North
Dakota and Eastern Wisconsin. Of the 34 large school teams, Jefferson placed
13th, with five top-10 event finishes. In addition to this, of all
schools present, Jefferson was awarded the one-and-only Spirit Award for
demonstrating excellence in enthusiasm and positive energy at this year's
Border Battle tournament.
